Green Commute Initiative

GCI Logo
Green Commute Initiative is leading the industry with its cycle-to-work scheme with no limits. GCI scheme participants benefit from no £1,000 spending cap and no scheme exit fees. Save up to 47%, depending on your tax bracket. Pay monthly through salary sacrifice with no added interest. Get an E-bike or conventional bike and help reduce congestion and pollution whilst improving your health, fitness and mental wellbeing.

How does it work?

Cycle to work schemes basically utilise your salary by reducing your gross pay (before tax) by the cost of the bike, called salary sacrifice. You'll save anywhere from 32%, 42% or 47%.

From our selection of eBikes, decide on the one you'd like and then email us at admin@ridegreen.co.uk or use the form below, telling us which eBike you're interested in.

We'll send you a quote. You use this quote when adding the details to the Green Commute Initiative website. From there your employer will do all the admin tasks to get the bike paid for and you'll need to agree on a repayment term with them. You then effectively reimburse your employer using the salary sacrifice mentioned above.

At the end of the hire agreement, GCI will offer you an extended free of charge loan agreement so that you don’t need to pay any Benefit in Kind tax.  At the end of the loan, GCI will arrange for the bike ownership to be transferred to you.  Full details are on the GCI website.

Size Guide

Electrice Bike (E-Bike) Sizing Guide

The Sizing for the below bikes are currently aligned to the EcoBike & GeoBike products, typically they come in 3 different frame sizes, 17, 19 and 20 Inches Frames.

With a step-through frame, exact sizing is less important because there is no impact when coming off the saddle.

For a cross barbike, riders need to take into consideration the frame size more, due to the impedance when coming off the saddle. Contact us if you need more info.

* 20" Frame can be suitable for a 5ft 7" rider to take advantage of the 29" Rims, which typically accompany this frame size.

EcoBike Folding E-Bike Size Guide

For folding E-Bikes, typical rider height is between 5ft to 6ft+ as seat and handle bar position is highly configurable.
